I have discovered why the trees around my house and driveway are slowly dying. The soil under the limbs that are dying is compacted. This compaction (does not allow air and water to reach these roots). These two elements are the most important nutrients for plants, without air the benefical microorganisms necessary for healthy plants can’t exist has killed the beneficial fungus that lives (that forms a symbiotic relationship) on the roots of the trees, preventing the roots from getting the proper water and nourishment that they had when the limbs first grew. The trees need help, the compacted soil needs to be loosened (these fungi produce poly-saccaride glues that bind soil particles together forming stable aggregates that created micro and macro pores in the soil and cause loosening over time as well as places for water and beneficial organisms to live) and the fungi need to be replaced.

We are working with the exclusive source for Effective Microorganisms™ in the continental United States and Mycorrhizal Applications Inc., the supplier of the mycorrhizae fungi that will improve the health of the tree. The fungi and EM•1® are synergistic with the soil and the plant roots.
MYCORRHIZAE MEANS “FUNGUS-ROOT”, they increase the effectiveness of the roots from 10 to 10,000 times. (AND ALLOWED AQUATIC PLANTS TO COLONIZED ON THE EARTH’S SURFACE 450 MILLION YEARS AGO). Effective Microorganisms™, or EM•1®, is a mixture of three groups of microbes that secrete beneficial antioxidant properties in the soil, encouraging other beneficial micro (microbes) and macro organisms (insects and worms) to grow. EM•1® helps make
nutrients bio-available to the plants and creates polysaccharides as well. The combination of the two result in a more stable soil that is less susceptible to erosion, better able to retain water, and help regenerate the soil.

It takes some time to rejuvenate the soil, the longer the tree has been sick, the longer it will need tender loving care to get back to near its original health. We are offering a program that has been suggested by the formulators of the above organisms. In tests that we have done over the last two months, it is very evident that such a program is needed for urban landscapes. We will be offering the program to improve the health of the plants in the landscape. Our new philosophy is “A healthy plant will repel insects, wherein, a sick
plant will attract insects”. If insect control is required, it will be done with our Environment Sensitive P est Control Methods ... FEED THE SOIL AND LET THE SOIL FEED THE PLANT.
