Environment Sensitive Pest Control’s Borate Application: Dissolve one pound EnviroTechWP borate in one gallon of water for a 10% mixture, mixing with a Vortex water treatment devise, using a surfactant to enhance the mixing. This mixture will penetrate completely into four 2X6’s drywall screwed together within 10 weeks. This mixture will also last the life of the wood, providing it is not exposed to continuous running water. This mixture is sprayed on the complete structure by ESP. EnviroTechWP is labeled as an insecticide /fungicide. Go to www.environmentsensitive.com for the label and MSDS. This treatment should be done by an ESP trained and approved technicians after the tarpaper or Tyvek is applied to the exterior, but before it is cutout and wrapped around the framing for the window installation. This application will be guaranteed for five years from date of application against subterranean termite infestation. At your request a builder’s certificate can be provided for the treatment.

Most pest control operators only spray the exterior studs up two feet with a product called BoraCare. This is product is two pounds of borate dissolved in ethylene glycol (antifreeze) listed on their MSDS data sheet as a hazardous ingredient. Borate is a fire retardant in cellulose insulation and boron is an essential element required for our bone and joint health. When I started using borates I had arthritis in both knees and my right hand and elbow, it is gone.
